The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is working on a funcational planning study for Highway 39 from Estevan to Bienfait and a general location study for Bienfait to North Portal.

A public open house was held Tuesday, May 26 to present the recommended twinning route between Estevan and Bienfait, and to introduce the preferred option for  twinning between Bienfait and North Portal.

The intention of the project is to provide a 110 km/hr twinned highway.

The Ministry is working on a general location study for the future twinning of Highway 6 & 39 from Regina to Estevan. 

Three open houses were held in late March and early April as well as another three in December 2014. The meetings were designed to gather feedback and input for the twinning options.
