Saskatchewan has been noted for being at the leading edge in the development of new road and trucking technology. The province will continue to work in partnership with industry and universities to develop new trucking technologies, which will provide safe, efficient equipment - minimizing damage to the road infrastructure.

The trucking industry is increasingly important to the people of Saskatchewan. We will work with the trucking industry to create a positive environment that enables the industry to provide service as efficiently as possible, giving due regard to the safety of the motoring public and preservation of the publicly owned highway infrastructure.

The Transport Compliance Branch consists of the Highway Transport Patrol, Transport Investigation Office and Head Office.

Trucking Partnership Programs works with industry to promote the safe and efficient movement of goods by truck while minimizing impacts on the transportation system and its users through partnerships.

The Trucking Policy and Regulation unit is responsible for developing and administrating commercial motor carrier policies and regulations.
