ORDER for Provincial Highway 334 and Provincial Highway 339
Reference: Weight restriction for Provincial Highway 334 from the junction of Provincial
Highway 13 to the Village of Avonlea and Provincial Highway 339 from Avonlea to the junction of Provincial Highway 39, except for when directly crossing Provincial Highway 334 and Provincial Highway 339 at an intersecting public highway and that portion of Provincial Highway 339 from 11.4 km west of the Village of Avonlea to 21.2 km west of the Village of Avonlea.
Pursuant to section 35.1 of The Highway and Transportation Act, 1997,
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: for the purpose of managing traffic and the protection of Provincial Highway 334 and Provincial Highway 339, the Minister orders that effective 12:01 midnight May 21, 2007, and until further notice:
- Provincial Highway 334 from the junction of Provincial Highway 13 to the Village of Avonlea and Provincial Highway 339 from the Village of Avonlea to the junction of Provincial Highway 39, except for:
i) When directly crossing Provincial Highway Provincial Highway 339 at an intersecting public highway; and
ii) That portion of Provincial Highway 339 from 11.4 km west of the Village of Avonlea to 21.2 km west of the Village of Avonlea.
Shall be restricted as follows:
- The maximum gross vehicle weight not to exceed 8 000 kg (17,600 lbs.)
- The maximum gross weight on any axle unit not to exceed 6 000 kg (13,200 lbs.)
The restriction does not apply to:
- Emergency vehicles;
- Department of Highways and Transportation vehicles and rural municipal maintenance equipment when conducting maintenance or accessing sites on or along the restricted highway;
- SaskPower and SaskTel vehicles when accessing sites along the restricted route;
- Recreational vehicles;
- Buses;
- Farm Equipment operated or towed; or
- Vehicles directly crossing Provincial Highway 334 and Provincial Highway 339 at an intersecting public highway.
This order does not permit the weight on any axle, axle group or vehicle from exceeding the secondary highway weights prescribed in the "The Vehicle Weight and Dimension Regulations" for that axle, axle group or vehicle.
This Order is issued on a permanent basis and should not be confused with Spring Road Restriction Orders.
