ORDER for Road Restrictions on Provincial Highway 219

This order supersedes the order issued March 9, 2001.

Pursuant to section 35 The Highway and Transportation Act, 1997,

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that effective Midnight on the last day of February to Midnight on November 30 each year until 2010, vehicles other than those exempted below and those vehicles noted in subsections 3(1) and (2) of the "The Vehicle Weight and Dimensions Regulations, 1999", on the following provincial highways:

  • Provincial Highway 219 from the Junction of Highway 44 to its Junction with Grid 764 located at the northeast corner of Section 32, Township 30, Range 06, West of the 3rd Meridian except for:

i) When directly crossing Provincial Highway 219 at an intersecting public highway.

Shall be restricted as follows:

  • The maximum gross vehicle weight not to exceed 8 000 kg (17,600 lbs.)
  • The maximum gross weight on any axle unit not to exceed 6 000 kg (13,200 lbs.)


The restriction applies to all vehicles except those listed below:

  • Emergency vehicles;
  • Department of Highways and Transportation vehicles when conducting maintenance or accessing sites on or along the restricted highway;
  • SaskPower vehicles when accessing sites along the restricted route;
  • Recreational vehicles;
  • Buses; or
  • Farm Equipment


This order does not permit the weight on any axle, axle group or vehicle from exceeding the secondary weight prescribed in the "The Vehicle Weight and Dimension Regulations, 1999" for that axle, axle group or vehicle.

This Order is issued on a permanent basis and should not be confused with Spring Road Restriction Orders.
