ORDER for Road Restrictions on Highway 2-20-40 (Paddockwood Access)

Pursuant to section 35 and section 36, c.H3.01, The Highway and Transportation Act, 1997

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that effective 12:00 Midnight, March 1, 2002 and until further notice, vehicles other than those exempted below and those vehicles noted in sections 3(2) of the " The Vehicle Weight and Dimensions Regulations, 2000", on the following numbered provincial highways, except sections that fall within the incorporated limits of a city, town or village, shall be restricted as follows:

•  The maximum gross vehicle weight not to exceed 8,000 kilograms.
•  During the winter weight season, winter secondary weights shall apply.

The restriction applies to all vehicles except those listed below:

• Any emergency vehicles - ambulance, fire trucks, tow trucks, Department of
• Highways maintenance vehicles
• Any essential delivery vehicles - grocery/hotel delivery trucks, fuel delivery trucks
• Any recreational vehicle - Motor homes, travel trailers
• Any school bus

This order does not permit the weight on any axle, axle group or vehicle from exceeding the maximum weight prescribed in the "The Vehicle Weight and Dimension Regulations" for that axle, axle group or vehicle.

Highway 2-20-40 - from 100 meters east of the junction of Provincial Highway No. 2 at Northside to 13 kilometers east to its junction with a north-south grid road at Paddockwood.

This Order is issued on a permanent basis and should not be confused with Spring Road Restriction Orders.
